Hawker Centre “Chope” Kiasu Culture

Singaporeans commonly use tissue papers to ‘chope’ (reserve) seats in crowded hawker centres during lunch hours, while queuing up at stall ordering food.

Is this ugly behavior or being ‘kiasu’ (afraid to lose) ?
